Gladness and Rejoicing

יב) שִׂמְחוּ צַדִּיקִים בַּה’ וְהוֹדוּ לְזֵכֶר קָדְשׁוֹ

Be glad in G-d you who are righteous and gratefully render homage to His holy memorial.

The Malbim says that this pasuk is saying that the righteous will rejoice in Hashem because they are attached to Him in a relationship of love. This closeness means that Hashem looks after them in a way that is supernatural.

As such they thank zecher kodsho, His holy memorial, which is a reference to all the times that He performed miracles for them, rising above the laws of nature to take care of them
